Permaculture farm with forest gardens & tiny house wellness community

Craig and Chrissy are ticking so many boxes with their project in Queensland, Australia
A beautifully landscaped yoga village open to all. Multiple spaces hosting a wide range of classes and special events. Large cafe serving healthy food and drinks - local and organic focussed, set up for digital nomads too, plus common areas and rest spaces. This relaxed campus-like village, predominantly staffed by locals, is a working model showing us what is possible in an urban area.
An evolving yoga and freediving village built and furnished almost entirely from sustainable and up-cycled materials The project features a restaurant with stunning views of the Agung volcano, serving healthy and where possible, organic food. As well as a beautiful yoga shale, it also has a great co-working space and gym. The video is 4 years old - the village is even better now.
Pachamama Alliance is a global community that offers people the chance to learn, connect, engage, travel and cherish life for the purpose of creating a sustainable future that works for all. Since 1996, they have worked in partnership with the Indigenous people of the Sacred Headwaters region of the Amazon rainforest in Ecuador to defend their land and culture on their terms. They offer transformative courses, trainings and rainforest journeys, far beyond ecotourism.
This is an extremely powerful and inspirational interview from MA Earth with Lynne Twist, the founder of Pachamama Alliance and Soul of Money Institute. Lynne is a gifted storyteller and shares some absolutely beautiful ones in explaining why we each have vital roles to play at this incredible time to be alive. The indigenous modernism project shares the same vibration of optimism and many similar ideas & values. Also available as a podcast here on Spotify

Bridge Meadows uses the power of community to help children heal from the trauma of foster care. Their program includes high-quality affordable housing, therapeutic programs, and intergenerational community support.

Elders live in the community, serving as mentors, friends, and caregivers to the children and each other, forming a safety net of care and interdependence, improving quality of life for all three generations: children, parents, and elders.

Do you have or know of a project that embodies the principles of indigenous modernism? We'd love to hear from you and feature it here.
